I’m watching the pilot episode of Alcatraz, and so far there have already been two Lost references from Jorge Garcia’s character (that I’ve caught). He said something about “the last time I was on the island,” and one of the books he wrote was titled Alcatraz by the Numbers.
Am I a nerd for catching those?
When I was at the grocery store earlier today, there were these two cute guys in there who were all but holding hands as they were going through the store. They were so cute together!
It was kind of a strange (but welcome) thing to see in central Mississippi, AKA The Buckle of the Bible Belt.
*wishful, wanting sigh*
My mom saw The Help for the first time tonight.
She felt it necessary to stop the movie and make sure I knew that they didn’t have help/servants in the house when she was growing up.
Twice.

It’s gonna cost me $110 (that I don’t really have to spend) and three hours of my life (two of those driving) just for the dealership to hook my car up to their computer and tell me what’s wrong with it and how much more it will cost for them to fix it.
I love my car, but I really don’t like it too much sometimes.

Sometimes I wish I wasn’t so frugal. Like when I get money, I think to myself, “Hey, i can spend it on this and this and this and this and…..” But then the practical me steps in and says, “Yes, you could, but you really need to save it for when you get a job and have to move out and pay for deposits on an apartment and utilities and….”

Yeah, when Keurig (or, in my case, Mr. Coffee) says to use bottled or filtered water, they aren’t kidding. The water here tastes like it came out of the hose, so my hot chocolate now has an underlying hint of hose water. :-(
My mom and I are at a restaurant waiting for our food. There are at least three people in here playing Angry Birds, and all of them have their volume turned up to 11. Ugh.

WatchThis is what my car (a VW Jetta) started doing tonight. It starts just fine. I didn’t notice until about the third time I tried cranking it that the airbag light is on when I start it. Then when I turn the headlights on, it starts doing this.
Anybody got any ideas what it could be (other than just “It looks like an electrical problem.”)?

I just found out that my 7-year-old cousin got one of those Zelda-themed 3DSes that I’ve been drooling over for the last month or so but couldn’t afford.
I never though I’d be jealous of a 7-year-old.

Well, one good thing came from feeling like death warmed over today. I didn’t go spend $150 on a Legend of Zelda 3DS at GameStop.
Even though I REALLY REALLY want one….
I got a flu shot yesterday afternoon. So, of course, I feel completely wretched today.
Ugh, someone please kill me now.

Guess who gets to go drag the garbage back up from the street and dig through it in below-freezing weather at 1:30 in the morning because his mom can’t find a new box of checks and thinks she accidentally threw it out.

Even though it may be kinda cheesy, cliché, and all that, I LOVE Once Upon a Time.
